Many of us remember where we were and what we were doing when Apollo 11 landed on the moon in July 1969. But how many of NASA’s other key events can you place in time? Echo 1, the first communications satellite? Apollo 8, the first view of an "Earthrise" above the moon’s horizon? The X-15? Sally Ride, or Guion Bluford? Visit the timeline in the Headquarters Great Hall and relive NASA’s history from 1958 to 1998. Produced by the History Division and Printing and Design, the exhibit celebrates NASA’s achievements in aeronautics, human space flight, earth science, and space science. The exhibit runs from September 21, 1998 through January 15, 1999. For more information, contact Terese Ohnsorg.
