EP-95 ON THE MOON WITH APOLLO 16
FIGURE 77.-Particle Telescope. The
collimators are used to restrict the field of view. The foil is used
to distinguish between protons and electrons. The solid state
detectors are sensitive to both protons and electrons. Two of these
units (one without the foil) are used in the Apollo 16 subsatellite.
Based on a similar sketch by Anderson and others in Apollo 15
Preliminary science report.
