Objectives:

To obtain data on functioning and adaptability in weightlessness of the vestibule of the inner ear, which controls balance, through microelectrodes implanted in the vestibular nerves of two male bullfrogs (Rana castebianca). Mission data to be collected for three to five days.

Results:

All mission objectives met; data collected until November 15, when batteries ceased functioning. Adaptation to weightlessness occurred and extended to the organ.
