[O38] Accountability List of Recovered 51-L Debris.

The attached list is the official accountability record of all 51-L components recovered as a result of the surface search and underwater retrieval. This list includes all components retrieved through May 6, 1986. It will be updated as required, and a final list will be published upon completion of the recovery operation.

The alpha/numeric identifier in parentheses, following the description of the component, is the accountability tracking identifier in the impound log books. In addition to the component description recorded in this list, the log books identify recovery location (longitude/latitude), retrieval ship, film data (each component was photographed), any available serial/part number, and grid location in the impound area.

Many small components were identified to a major system and put together in a container. The container was then tagged with a single code identifier.

All hazardous components which are stored at the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) impound area are included in this list.

This list includes Orbiter, External Tank (ET), Solid Rocket Booster (SRB), Inertial Upper Stage (IUS), Tracking Data Relay Satellite (TDRS), Thermal Protection System (Tile), and Crew Module components.
