ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 

[273] Virginia P. Dawson received her doctorate in the History of Science and Technology from Case Western Reserve University in 1983. She has published numerous articles and reviews, as well as a book on eighteenth century biology, Nature's Enigma (1987). In 1988 Dr. Dawson was awarded the Robert H. Goddard Essay Award for her article on Lewis Laboratory's role in shaping the early years of NASA. She has taught the history of science and technology at Case Western Reserve University, Oberlin College, and Cleveland State University. She is currently an adjunct professor at Cleveland State University.
