Bill Clancey's very interesting paper examines interactions between (1) Bob Parker in Houston and Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt on the Moon during the Apollo 17 operations covering Station 4, the traverse to Station 5, and Station 5 and (2) biologists and a geologist working together at Haughton Crater in the High Canadian Arctic with an eye toward the development of computer-based systems that could assist field workers during future operations of this type on Earth and in space.
