Doug Van Dorn

Doug Van Dorn I have been fascinated by spaceflight since my earliest memories. I remember the first Mercury flights, and followed Gemini and Apollo with an almost fanatical interest. At age 14, I assembled a highly detailed 1/16th scale model Lunar Module out of cardboard and aluminum foil, complete with a MESA, stowed flag, ALSEP package, and opening hatch and bay doors.

I often posts to the sci.space.* Usenet hierarchy, where and write endlessly about minutae of the Apollo program. My greatest disappointment in life is that we no longer do such interesting things as fly to the Moon.
