Launched on April 24, 1990, at 12:33 UTC, the Hubble Space Telescope is one of the most versatile tools in astronomy research. Designed to be maintained while still in space, Hubble has just reached its 29th “launchday” and has produced some of the most important — and beautiful — images of space.
